Llangathen Castle

3 1/2m W of Llandeilo, Llangathen, Carmarthenshire, south Wales
On private land

Alan Reid 1973

Lord Rhys is said to have built this small castle, now badly ruined, at the time he held Carreg Cennen Castle as part of the inheritance of Dynevor in the last part of the 12th century. Nothing seems to have been recorded of its history.
